Guile has had a really rough road to the third round. To begin with he faced a huge, psycho knight from Germany. Then he fought a lethal female ninja, Kitana. He stood tall in both matches.

Sub-Zero
Origin: China
Strength: Speed, technique, ability to control ice
Weakness: None known
Weapon: Occasionally a small battleaxeSub hasn’t had any worthy opponents at all this far in the competition. First he deepfroze nunchaku wielding sissyboy Billy Lee. Then he easily kicked Nina to the ground just to advance in the tournament.

Now we all get to vote in a true battle of the videogames match. Street Fighters no.1 badboy Guile vs Mortal Kombat’s icey hero Sub-Zero. Who will stand tall in this ultimate showdown?

Voldo
Origin: Italy
Strength: Extreme flexibility, insanity
Weakness: Insanity
Weapon: Different types of sharp blades attached to his hands
Voldo has faced both american wrestler Bass and skilled martial arts expert Akira so far. His unpredicatbility should definately be useful in the future as well.

Cervantes
Origin: Spain
Strength: Outrageousness, tyrannic behaviour, Technique
Weakness: Insanity
Weapon: Dual swords
Cervantes hasn’t had much resistance so far. OK, his first opponent Taki put up quite a good fight, since the two have a long history together. Old man GenFu didn’t stand a chance though.

Now Cervantes will fight another character he has a long history with. He and Voldo have faced off multiple times before. It’s time to settle this feud once for all.

Liu Kang
Origin: China
Strength: Speed, focus, spirituality, ability to shoot fireballs
Weakness: Not very strong
Weapon: Usually none. Occasionally a jagged sword.
Liu Kang has faced a good vary of fighters so far. First he won over his good friend, the fast and strong Johnny Cage. Then he stood tall in a classic David vs Goliath match against Rock.

Maxi
Origin: Japan
Strength: Speed, technique
Weakness: Not very strong
Weapon: Nunchakus
Not to say it in a bad way, but Maxi has only faced tiny, weak girls so far in this competition. First playmate Ayane and then Seung Mi-na.

Now we present a classic asian showdown. Speed vs speed. Technique vs Technique. The thing that differs them is probably Liu Kangs inner calm vs Maxi’s arrogance and cockiness.

Jack
Origin: Russia

Strength: Extreme strength, no remorse mentality

Weakness: Slow, robotic thinking and movement

Weapon: None

This massive android has faced technically skilled warriors so far. First he destroyed ninjutsu-dude Guy followed by sambo-cat Bayman.

Raiden
Origin: The Heavens

Strength: Ability to use and control lightning

Weakness: None known

Weapon: Sledgehammer

Raiden has advanced without problems at all. He humiliated both Orchid and Kage and never got tired nor dirty.

Will Jack’s cyborg structure withstand Raiden’s lightningbolts? Or will the Elder god’s head get smashed between 2 giant russian steelgloves?

VF eliminated

The last one of the Virtua Fighters has now been destroyed by a big, mexican luchadore in a leopard mask. But really, did anyone think that we would see a Virtua Fighter in the finals? Naah didn't think so.

Jokers eliminated

As Cody ran into Glacius' liquid spikes and fainted, he marked the elimination of the Joker team in Fightclub history. There must be a reason why these games never made it to the big rooms? Because their fighters SUCK!!

Vega
Origin: Spain
Strength: Speed, flexibility
Weakness: Shallow, prudish
Weapon: Iron Claw
The pretty spanish bullfighter has kicked his through different types of opponents so far. He faced brutality in Kano and speed and agility in Kasumi.

Fulgore
Origin: Unknown
Strength: Speed, physical strength, body armour
Weakness: Robotic thinking
Weapon: Razor sharp blades, Turret gun, Eyelaser
Fulgore has also faced a good vary of fighters. First the strong sumo E.Honda. Second the extremely fast marital arts expert Law.

Now we’ll see human vs cyborg. Human logic vs Robotic brutality. Iron Claw vs Steel Armour.


Reptile
Origin: Zaterra, Outworld
Strength: Agility, ruthlessness
Weakness: Partly insane
Weapon: Acid spit, Kirehashi sword
Reptile's opponents so far have consisted of Jann Lee, the quick and disciplined Jeet Kune Do fighter, and fan favorite Paul Phoenix, the reckless biker.

Jago
Origin: Tibet
Strength: Quickness, discipline
Weakness: Not notably strong
Weapon: Dual swords, fireballs
Jago has had opponents of various quality, all from the joker category. His first-round match was against push-over boxer Bald Bull, while the last match was a hard-fought battle with the futuristic cyborg ECO35-2.

Both combatants are known for their speed, and are evenly matched in most regards. Both have swords, and both have ranged attacks. Could be a close contest.

DOA eliminated

Team Dead or Alive became the first team to be eliminated in this tournament. All 8 fighters have now been kicked out in different ways. We wish them good luck with their lame nude volleyball competitions in the future.
