The last one of the Virtua Fighters has now been destroyed by a big, mexican luchadore in a leopard mask. But really, did anyone think that we would see a Virtua Fighter in the finals? Naah didn't think so.
Welcome to The Fight Club! If you aren't familiar with this place, here's the low-down on what we're about. To put it simply, this is a place for fictional fighting tournaments of different sorts, where YOU vote on who advances. In the past, two separate tournaments have been held. We have bewitnessed the battle of Superheroes/villains and after that, a contest between childhood heroes. Now, we turn a new page in the history of The Fight Club by welcoming visitors from all over the world to help us determine who will become the victors. We give to you...The Ultimate Beat'Em-Up Tournament! We have handpicked 8 characters each from 7 of our most beloved fighting game series. Along with 8 wildcards from various games along the same themes, they will duke it out in a big single elimination tournament. In the end, only one supreme fighter will be left standing tall. It is YOU who decides which combatants will advance in each of the fights. New matches will be announced each Sunday, so check back weekly to vote for the ones you think should prevail. Remember, YOUR VOTE COUNTS, so make sure to check back regularly to ensure a rightful winner is crowned in the end.
Rules
* 4 matches take place every week
* This is not a popularity contest. You vote for the fighter you think have the best chances to win the fight. Not the coolest, hottest or cutest one
* The fights take place in an open arena. No objects to hide behind, no endless pits to be thrown down into, no nothing. Just an empty area
* The characters have access to all the tricks and equipment they have been known to use in their respective games. If they normally swing swords around, they have them here. If they have a habit of shooting great balls of fire from the palm of their hand, they can do so here. Anything goes
* All fights are randomly upmatched
* Look at the Tournament Tree to see upcoming matches
* A win is earned through knock-out, just like in your average fighting game. A character does not have to be killed in order to lose the match
* If a match ends with a 50-50 tie, the winner will be drawn randomly
