Guile is a massive, slick airforce lieutenant with one primary mission, to defeat Shadaloo’s evil leader Bison. He has characteristic looks with his camouflaged combat clothes, dogtags and most importantly, his particularly tall flattop haricut. Rumour has it that Guile's famous hairdo is styled with a special-order army hair spray to keep it up (though he ends up fixing it quickly after a match). Guile is not only a hard-hitter and a high-jumper. He has also made his opponents famililar with two devastating signaturemoves. A procetile-based attack called ”Sonic Boom” and his trademark ”Somersault-Kick” in which he kicks the opponent with a backflip in midair. Old school Guile.
As Siegfried from Ober-Getzenberg grew up, his father, a gentle knight, taught him swordsmanship. While the father was away on a foreign crusade Siegfried fell into the wrong crowds and formed a band of outlaws called das Schwarzwind. One the day the group hunted down and killed a bunch of knights. Siegfried chopped the head off the commander himself, just to find out that he had decapitated his own father. In this moment his mind snapped. He fled into the forest in grief and fear and spent days in solitude, grieving for his father. His insanity grew, and in denial he was able to convince himself that someone else slew his father. Now he’s out there, with a great broadsword in his hands, to avenge the murder.

Kitana is the 10,000 years old princess of Edenia and stepdaughter of the evil warlord Shao Kahn. She served and showed loyalty to her family for most of her life until she found out what they were all about. Since then she’s been aligning herself with the good side and also found love in the human Liu Kang. Driven by a search for justice, redemption, and peace, Kitana is a strong combination of discipline, intelligence, love, and perseverance. Her astonishing looks has lured many foul opponents to disaster. Not only is she an incredibly skilled martial-arts expert (like the Godfather), she is also equipped with her deadly steelfans which she uses to cut limbs off the unsuspecting spectators.
Born in Manhattan, New York, Mike Haggar is a former professional wrestler who has now entered the wonderful world of politics as the mayor of thug town Metro City. Even though he is an elected official, Haggar has continued to lift weights and practice his wrestlingmoves to keep in shape. Now this strong Dan Severn-like guy practises his wrestling skills on the streets instead, since the outlaws in “Mad Gear Gang” has kidnapped his daughter Jessica to get the mayor under control. Instead of talking and negotiating Haggar searches for Jessica by delivering, “Flying Piledrivers”, “Back Drops”, and his signaturemove “the Spinning Clothesline” to members and supporters of the criminals. Haggar was surprised and flattered when he learned that a Russian wrestler named Zangief had copied the move (a man you will get to know later in this tournament).

Born and raised in Texas, Tina Armstrong, daughter of famed pro wrestler Bass Armstrong, decided to follow in her father's footsteps and enter the squared circle. With natural ability and her good looks, she quickly rose to the top of the female wrestling world and became a major star. Not one to settle for less than anything, Tina has then went on to successfully pursue careers as photo model, actress and rock star. Unlike most female fighting game characters, Tina relies less on speed and focuses instead of utilizing spectacular and high-impact wrestling throws and grapples. Not afraid to use her sex appeal to gain further fame and glory, will Tina's wide field of professional experience aid her in this tournament?
Akira Yuki may have a somewhat plain martial artist appearance, but that's just the way he is. He expresses himself through his actions as a fighter, and it's hard to argue against his past track record. Constantly seeking perfection in his fighting, Akira's harsh and rigorous training has led him to great success in the martial arts world, most notably winning the second World Fighting Tournament. His fighting style is the Bajiquan, a somewhat different way of fighting than most. It focuses heavily on close range attacks, with Akira frequently favoring strikes with the shoulders, hips, elbows and knees over more conventional punches and kicks. With great strength and discipline, Akira can be a fearsome competitor.

Bass Armstrong is reportedly the strongest man in the world. Whether this is true or simply pro wrestling hyperbole can be argued, but there's no doubt that he is one powerful human being. As has been said, Bass is a long-time professional wrestler who has officially retired from the business after many years as undefeated. After having spurred on his daughter Tina to train and become a wrestler herself, Bass is angry that she chooses to use it merely as a stepping stone to other kinds of stardom and sets out to put her in her place, with varying degrees of success. But really, he only does what he thinks is best for her. He's such a big softie on the inside. Don't say that to his face, though, or you might get hammered by some of his brutally effective power moves. Mixing raw force with the flashiness of pro wrestling, Bass has the ability to decimate any foe that stands before him.
Voldo was born in Italy. At a young age, he started working under the infamous merchant Vercci who, after losing most of his possessions when war broke out in Italy, fled with his remaining treasures to a small island near Sicily. He had Voldo and the rest of his crew construct a huge vault of sorts called the Money Pit and, after the project was finished, had Voldo kill the rest of the crewsmen so that word of the treasures never got out to anyone. Voldo became the Money Pit's guardian, and although his master has now been dead for years, he still carries out his sword duties. The darkness and solitude of the pit has left Voldo both blind and insane, and it show in his fighting. Words like "unpredictable" and "unorthodox" get thrown around a lot, but never have they been more apt than when it comes to Voldo. With truly bizarre movements and attacks in which Voldo contorts his body in ways that shouldn't be possible, Voldo is a fearsome combatant. Throw in his somewhat unique outfits (which have been described as "16th century bondage gear") and his razor-sharp katar weapons, and you have someone who will leave both mental and physical scars on you.

Guile might be a good fighter, but he's generally not up against guys clad in sturdy armor and equipped with a massive two-handed sword. Siegfried's reach and power gives him the victory.

Haggar is cooler than most, but he's getting up there in age and is probably not as adept as he was in his younger days. Plus, Kitana has those wicked fans of hers. I don't like voting against wrestlers, but I have to be fair here.

Tina has always been a favourite in the DOA series for me, but Akira definitely has an advantage in terms of raw skill and power.

Voldo is a killing machine. As much as it pains me to vote against THREE wrestlers this week, Bass realistically wouldn't stand much of a chance against the Italian's razor blades.

Almost same answers as Kebaben's.

Guile stands no chance against a lunatic eith a massive broadsword.

Kitana is fast AND equipped with razor sharp fangs. Sorry to say it, but Haggar is ONLY a wrestler.

Tina is a lousy wrestler a lousy singer and a lousy actress. Akira is a lean mean killingmachine. Game over.

Bass is the best wrestler of all times (and looks like Hogan). He will destroy the blind nerd Voldo.
